I woke up this morning around 430am local time and the sun is already up! Plus it didn’t set until nearly 2300 yesterday! Quite nuts indeed. I have a Opel Corsa Diesel, manual of course. Fun experience and definitely different. Off to Italy today and what a great time in Europe so far.
Thoughts on driving here: SO MANY ROUNDABOUTS. Coming from the US, I see about one roundabout a month maybe. Here I saw about 20 in the first hour! Very efficient though, the few traffic lights I saw were a pain because I got so used to the traffic circles.

I live in Cumbria in England and we have very similar beautiful views. The sun coming up at 4-4:30 and setting at 22-22:30 is great as you get plenty of opportunity to enjoy your day whether you have to work some of it or work nights and have to sleep some of it.
Welcome to a different kind of freedom. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome!
We do have a lot of roundabouts, when driving to work I have about 7 on a 15 minute drive. Very efficient if everyone uses their turn signals..

I see you got some of the same weather I got...
You’ll be glad to know the Italians are just as keen on roundabouts.

Ah yes, it looked familiar! I climbed up a hill beside the town, there’s a cog railway as well which I came down on.
